Sydney, September 15, 2024 - The BFI RUN 2024 annual running race initiated by PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk (BFI Finance) had previously announced on June 23, 2024 ten selected participants to run at the Sydney Marathon 2024 as the prize of the Overseas Marathon Challenge program. On September 15, they finally mustered their entire potential energy and successfully finished the marathon race joyfully.
Assisted by running coach Andriyanto, the runners have had intensive orientation for around two months prior to their departure to Sydney. The preparation also included strength training from Motiva, and provision of various running gear by BFI Finance, Asics, and ONPOINT. The ten fortunate runners are namely Agus Salim Lie, Anggreni, Devi Ardian, William Lesmana, Jeansisca Kesuma, Roy Rinaldi, Bernardus Nugroho, Indra Suryatama, Lisanto Adrian Lee, dan Ratno Wardoyo.
The route with rolling terrain, chilly weather, and strong wind didn’t hinder their spirit to run towards the finish line as targeted. In fact, eight out of ten participants scored their personal best at the Sydney Marathon, a candidate race expected to become the 7th World Major Marathon in 2025.
