Tangerang, June, 23, 2024 – During the BFI RUN 2024 event, PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk (BFI Finance) together with 18 volunteers from Waste Bottle Officer accumulated plastic bottle waste and educated runners to throw plastic bottle waste in a specific trash bin already provided in the area of Race Village BFI RUN 2024 at ICE BSD City (6/23/2024).
This action was a concrete next-level step taken by BFI Finance through the “BFI Green Lifestyle” program to promote environmental care behavior. The accumulation of collected plastic bottle waste since “Road to BFI RUN 2024” until the execution of BFI RUN 2024 reached 155.3 kg and has been transported to a partnering waste bank to be recycled.
There was also a photo booth at the venue with hashtags "#RUNWITHCARE" and "Pilah Sampah Gak Susah" (“Sorting Out Waste is not Difficult”). Additionally, BFI Finance also collaborated with Komunitas Cinta Kembali community to support children’s achievements in running and their study under the theme “Jadi Juara BFI” (“Become BFI Champion”) through a pre-owned sport shoes donation program. The shoes donation was held during the Race Pack Collection (RPC) event at AEON Mall BSD City (on Friday-Saturday, June 21-22, 2024) and on the race day at Race Village BFI RUN 2024. As many as 168 pairs of sport shoes were collected from a total of 105 donors. There is always a way to become a champion (#SelaluAdaJalanJadiJuara).
